What Is Texecom Connect?

Texecom Connect is a free smartphone app that puts complete control of your alarm system in the palm of your hand. Available for both iOS and Android, the app connects directly to compatible Texecom alarm panels — including the Premier Elite 24, 48, 64, 88, 168, and 640 — giving you instant access to your security system from anywhere in the world.

With Texecom Connect, you can remotely arm and disarm your alarm without needing to be at the keypad. You receive real-time push notifications the moment your alarm triggers, a zone opens, or a user arms or disarms the system. The app provides a full event log history so you can see exactly what happened and when — ideal for checking whether the cleaner armed the system after leaving, or confirming that your teenager actually came home on time.

User management is built in, allowing you to add, remove, and manage users with different permission levels. You can grant the dog walker a time-limited code whilst keeping full administrator access for yourself. Zone control lets you check which zones are open, bypassed, or in alarm at any time, and area partitioning allows you to arm and disarm individual areas independently — perfect for arming the ground floor overnight whilst keeping the upstairs disarmed.

At Wilsons Systems, we configure Texecom Connect as part of every new Texecom installation across the Fylde Coast. For existing Texecom systems that do not yet have Connect capability, we can often retrofit the SmartCom communicator module to bring your alarm into the smart age. Texecom Cloud is the installer-side platform that complements the Connect app. It allows Wilsons Systems to remotely monitor the health of your alarm system — detecting issues before they become problems. Low batteries, communication faults, and sensor drift are all flagged automatically, often before you even notice anything is wrong.

The platform enables remote firmware updates without a site visit, saving you time and money. When a visit is needed, diagnostic data means our engineers arrive fully prepared, reducing call-out times and first-visit fix rates. This powers a proactive approach to maintenance rather than the traditional reactive "fix it when it breaks" model.

With Texecom Cloud, Wilsons Systems receives alerts about system issues and contacts you before you even notice a problem. It is the difference between a security system that works and one that you know works — because someone is actively watching over it.

How Wilsons Sets Up Texecom Connect

Every new Texecom alarm installation by Wilsons Systems includes full Texecom Connect setup at no extra cost. We do not leave until you are confident using the app and your system is fully connected.

Our setup process includes registering your alarm panel on Texecom Cloud for ongoing remote health monitoring, installing and configuring the Texecom Connect app on your smartphone, setting up push notifications so you receive alerts immediately, and creating user accounts with appropriate permissions for everyone who needs access.

We walk you through the app in person, showing you how to arm and disarm remotely, check zone status, view the event log, and manage users. We also configure area partitioning if your property requires it — for example, separate zones for a home office, garage, or outbuilding.

If you have an existing Texecom alarm without Connect capability, we can often add it. Many Texecom Premier Elite panels can be upgraded with a SmartCom communicator module, bringing full app control to your existing system.
