Air Source Heat Pump Electrical Installation

We handle the full electrical scope of ASHP installations — from dedicated circuits and consumer unit upgrades to three-phase wiring and DNO applications. All NICEIC certified.

Dedicated ASHP Circuit

Sizing and installing the dedicated electrical supply for your heat pump, with correct cable ratings, MCB or RCBO protection, and circuit design to the manufacturer's specifications. Whether single-phase or three-phase, we ensure the supply is right for your unit.

Consumer Unit Upgrades

Many older properties need a consumer unit upgrade to accommodate the additional load of a heat pump. We assess your existing board and upgrade where necessary, adding dedicated protection devices.

Isolator & Switchgear

Installing the required rotary isolator adjacent to the outdoor unit, plus any additional switchgear specified by the heat pump manufacturer. All positioned for safe maintenance access in accordance with the manufacturer's installation manual.

Three-Phase Supply

For larger heat pumps like the Global Energy Systems Winchester three-phase model, we handle the full three-phase electrical supply installation, including liaison with the DNO where a new or upgraded supply is needed.

Electrical Certification

Every installation receives a full Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) issued under our NICEIC Approved Contractor registration, confirming compliance with BS 7671 and Part P of the Building Regulations. We submit Building Regulations notification on your behalf.

Global Energy Systems Caernarfon 18kW — Single-phase air source heat pump designed for the UK climate, operating down to −20°C. We install the dedicated single-phase circuit, rotary isolator, and any consumer unit upgrades required.

Global Energy Systems Winchester 18kW — Three-phase model for larger properties or commercial applications. We install or upgrade the three-phase supply, including DNO liaison, three-phase distribution board, and all associated switchgear.

An air source heat pump requires a dedicated electrical circuit from your consumer unit, a rotary isolator positioned next to the outdoor unit, and appropriate MCB or RCBO protection. All work is NICEIC certified.

Yes. We have experience wiring three-phase heat pumps including the Global Energy Systems Winchester 18kW model. If your property does not currently have a three-phase supply, we can arrange the application to your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and install the three-phase infrastructure.
You will receive an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) issued under our NICEIC Approved Contractor registration. This confirms that the electrical work complies with BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations) and Part P of the Building Regulations. We also submit Building Regulations notification on your behalf.
